Kacie www.polyvore.com/frs/set?id=75393491I grinned at my Baby girl. "Nashviiiiile, we are wooork to dooo." I sang. Nashville pricked her young ears, and I put my favorite bronc halter one her. The nose band was camo, with two stripes of blue going across, and stars on it...the rebel flag. In the middle, her name was painted on in red. I sighed and put her in a cross tie, before brushing her, and tacking her up, putting her halter on the saddle horn. I rode western, not like some yuppies here, but it didn't really bother me as long as I was with Nashville. I walked Nashville to an outdoor arena, and began lounging her. Nashville threw a few bucks, and kicked out. She was feeling frisky! I told her to lope, and whistled. Immediately, Nashville stopped, and turned to face me. "Good girl." I rubbed her. "Smile..." I told her, and held up a finger. Nashville up her lip up for me. "Good girl, bow.." I pointed to the ground, reluctantly, Nashville bowed. "That's my girl." I told nashville, after I told her to get up. Tricks where her thing. I put Nashville's halter on, and hung up her bronc halter, then checked my cinch, and mounted. I walked, and trotted Nashville, stopped, flexed, backed up, and ten minutes later, it was time. Today we where loping on her lope. I loped Nashville around. Her lope was fast, so we where only working on slowing it down, which meant loping... and loping... and loping.... In the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of appaloosa...

I walked down the hall to DJ`s stall. He was in the middle so I didn`t have to go through the buissiness at the back. Hey boy. I said to him patting his huge cheek. I unhitched the stll door and got in the stall with him. His super tall back towered over me, making me feel small. I attached a leather lead rope to his brown Dover halter and lead him out to a pair of crossties. I quickly brushed him (he was already so clean from his daily brushings) I then taked him up and lead him out of the crazy barn. I looked up at my new english saddle and checked the girth then checked his bridle. I brought him in to one of the arenas, next to the round pens. I mounted him and started to trot around, I barely moved in the saddle since his strides where so smooth. I loosened the reins slightly, so he could extend his stride more. In the corner of my eye I saw a paint dash by. i turned my head and then DJ let out a high pitched whinny to the horse next to us.

The appy next to us, whinnied, and Nashville's loud, shrill neigh was sent back. Nashville was loud. Like me. But it didn't bother me, I encouraged the mare forward with my light spurs. Nashville tossed her lead, and I flicked her. Being in training, it was things like that you had to take note of. If Nashville was going to be a reiner...or even do Liberty with me, we had to be perfect from the beginning. I had high expectations, I know that, but Nashville had great breeding, almost perfect confirmation, and was over all a beautiful horse. And I was training her. It felt really good.

OOC: It turned out I have a minute to post! (but it`s short, sorry!) IC: I halted DJ and brought him over to the fence where the other girl rode. "HI, I`m Jessie." I said giving her a bubbly grin. I let DJ stretch out of his perfect frame so he could (try) to sniff the other horse. "And this is DJ." I said patting his neck. DJ started to paw the ground, unhappy that the other horse wasn`t greeting him too, and I laughed at him quietly.

I decided to let Nashville take a break. She needed a lesson on standing still too. I halted her at the fence, where the girl had introduced herself and her horse. "I'm Kacie, this is Nashville." I said with a smile.

"Oh my gosh! Your horse is so adorable! Plus, I love his name." I said grinning. DJ had sniffed the other horse enough so I gathered his head so his neck was perfectly arched again. I had just recently taught him how to keep a good frame, and I `m glad now I taught him all the other English riders here had there horses doing perfect ones. "Do you want to ride together?" I asked pointing in the direction of the large outdoor arena.

Kacie "thanks. its She, Nashville is a mare. But its okay..." I paused. "DJ is beautiful too, and...lets go for it!" I grinned. Nashvile tossed her head. I flicked her, and shook mine. "Nooo..." I said in a low, quiet voice.

I laughed softly. "I am so sorry girl." I said to Nashville. "Ok great and thanks!" I said grinning. I trotted DJ towards the gate. Even though it was such a short distance I made him pick up his hoofs and round his rump. "I really need to work on jumping today so I'll be using those jumps already set up in the far corner, but after we should go on a trail." I said once we neared the arena.

I reined Nashville around, making her do a rollback. "Good girl." I said, and loped the mare forward. "Alright!" I called back, opened the gate, Nashville tossed her head, and tried trotting once we where through. "I'm sorry about Nashville. She's in training." I explained.

"Oh I remember when DJ was in training! I swear I thought he was never going to behave, but after a while he turned out to be the perfect show horse." I said smiling at the memory. I entered the arena and headed straight towards the four jumps set up. They where plain black and white jumps, all the same height. i let DJ sniff them before trotting him over to the beginning, where I did a large circle at a canter, I pointed him towards the jumps and he quickened his pace. i half halted him, wanting his attention back on me, and we managed to clear the jump, inches away from knocking down the pole. We raced towards the next jump and DJ toke off at just the right time, we landed quietly on the ground. The next jump was getting closer, i half halted DJ and his ear flicked back at me. And we soared through the air. When we landed we rounded the corner and headed towards the finale jump. I counted strides in my head, three, two, one now! on now I lifted my body out of the saddle in a jumping position and DJ propelled us in the air and over the jump. When we landed DJ swished his tail, wanting to go again.

I waited by the fence, and clapped. Nashville stood still for me, and I kicked my feet out of the stirrups, putting my knees on my pommel, it was comfy, and laid back, though it looked weird. I put them back down.

"Thank you!" I said when Kacie clapped. I smiled as I rode past when she put her legs up on her saddle. I walked DJ around in one circle before decided that I wanted to go on a trail ride. "Hey, want to go on a trail instead?" I asked stopping by the fence. I had never been on a trail here before, but I had heard that they are really nice.

"Sure, I heard that they are great. I've never actually been on them yet, though." I added, turning nashville toward the head of the trails. I waited for Jessie.
