I walked out of my dorm, and onto the sidewalk. I sighed.
People stared at me, and I smirked. I was bullied once because I was a guy rider, but after that, and after they got to know me, it was cool.
I still got weird stares, but once I reached the prestigious equestrian center, I was in my zone.
I smiled and rubbed Blaze's nose.
"Look's like they already groomed you bud...and shaved you too!" I laughed.
His mane looked like fire, and his short-newly fully shaved coat, was stubbly, but light, and smooth.
I brought him out of his stall to inspect him.
He looked perfect. Not a hair was missed on his entire body, but as I requested, a light, huge-barely visible fire pattern on his left rump, was perfect.
"Sick..." I whispered, and quickly ran a dandy brush over Blaze's coat.
"Good boy." I said as I reached down, picked his hooves, and then put on boots.
After that, I smoothed down a saddle pad, making sure it was perfect, before putting on the bumper pad, and then the saddle.
Blaze flinched when I tightened it, so I made a mental note, to tighten it again, before I got on. Blaze was funny like that.
I shook my head, and put a bit in Blaze's mouth, and strapped the bridle on.
Very few people where in the stable, so I went straight for the empty arena I had picked out for myself the other day. It was grass, and enormous. I swear it had to be a pasture with large, probably 4'9 jumps all around it.
No note on the gate said it was closed, or that it was occupied, or being saved.
I took my chances, I stepped inside, leaving the arena card on open.
I took a deep breath, and tightened Blaze's girth, and let down the stirrups before swinging into the saddle.
I warmed Blaze up quickly, and walked him around the jump course.
After picking out a red and yellow standard, set apart slightly from the rest,
I led Blaze into soft, schooling canter,
and eventually, Blaze headed straight for the Jump.
I rose, balancing myself by my heels, squeezing them on Blaze's sides, encouraging him, as we soared over the tall jump.
I grinned, and leaned back, as Blaze's legs stretched downward.
We landed, and I circled him, before trying it again.
